5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This three-day seminar invites participants to engage in critical dialogue while collectively reflecting on the convergences between aesthetics, identity, nationhood, and forced migrations.

Each session will focus on a key concept to build a deeper understanding of how these narratives of resistance shape contemporary cultural and political realities. The first session, “Rematriate,” will center on reconnecting with cultural roots and relational forms of knowledge grounded in Indigenous epistemologies; the second, “Decolonize,” will examine the structures and logics of colonialism that persist in systems of knowledge, power structures, and everyday life; and finally, “Aesthetic Migrations” will focus on artistic and cultural production as a space of resistance.

This activity is part of the Public Program of the exhibition Constellations and Drifts: Latin American Art from the FEMSA Collection.
