Opening Event: The Crows Fly North by Wendy Cabrera Rubio.
Through video, installation, and the recreation of everyday objects, the exhibition is structured around a central film that examines practices promoted by the United States government toward migrants who arrived through the Bracero Program. It reflects on a key historical moment in the bilateral relationship, questioning official propaganda focused on the dietary and hygiene habits of workers.
The project is a collaboration between artist Wendy Cabrera Rubio and researcher Jairo Antonio Hoyos, alongside artists Luis Alonso Sánchez, Alejandra Lomar, Adrián Araiza, and Sbethlanna González.
