Introduction to Acrylic and Oil
Aimed at people over 15 years old | Beginner level  

Theoretical-practical course that aims to apply the bases of acrylic and oil techniques for the elaboration of a painting inspired by a model. During the process, concepts of drawing, composition and color theory applied to the specific project of each participant will be reviewed.

Graduated in Visual Arts from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, his artistic production focuses on experimentation with mixed techniques and contemporary languages ​​of painting, he has exhibited individually and collectively in Mexico and abroad, the most prominent, Tokyo, Fukushima, San Antonio, Houston, Washington, Chiapas, Veracruz, Mexico City, Puebla, Guadalajara, Coahuila and Monterrey, Nuevo León. Oil Painting Workshop
Aimed at people over 15 years old | Beginner level 

Practical workshop where the student will create three oil paintings, the first in a single session exploring the alla prima technique, a second using the wet-on-wet technique and the third a personal project in 7 sessions using the indirect method technique. of a achievement of pictorial layers starting with the drawing, its transfer, underpainting, grisaille, color through glazes and dry painting.

The student will explore the technical aspects of oil painting including support, bases, pictorial media, as well as types of brushes, properties of paint, types of varnishes and blotters. Historical methods and materials and their current equivalents will be emphasized.

Miguel Angel Ricárdez

Graduated from the Architecture degree from Tec de Monterrey. He has devoted himself to the plastic production and experimentation of classical painting techniques, in which he has specialized in Italy and Germany, where he has presented his work in individual exhibitions. Since 2005, he has given at MARCO a series of workshops such as: Temple and Oil, The Human Figure in Painting, Plastic Experimentation, among others.

Oscar De Leon

Visual artist from Monterrey, graduated from the Faculty of Visual Arts of the UANL. He has dedicated himself to visual production, cultural management and teaching in different institutions such as: MARCO Museum, CONARTE Arts Center, Alfa Planetarium, Alfa Foundation (Preparatory) and the Plaza Fátima Cultural Center.
He specializes in drawing with graphite and acrylic finishes following monochromatic lines. He is currently developing his artistic production specialized in drawing with graphite, experimenting with self-referential themes, everyday narratives, stories, stories, mythology, landscapes and interpersonal relationships.

Introductory workshop to watercolor
Aimed at people over 15 years old | Beginner level 

Over the course of seven sessions, students will explore the use of water and pigment, the creation of textures, color theory, and composition in painting. Botanical illustration will also be covered, and the last two sessions will be dedicated to the completion of a final project, where students will apply everything they have learned to create a personal work.

I WANT INFORMATION

At the end of the workshop, students will be able to apply basic watercolor techniques in the creation of artistic works. They will develop skills in color management, pigment mixing, and moisture control on paper, which will allow them to experiment with different effects characteristic of watercolor. In addition, they will acquire a better understanding of composition and light, as well as the ability to visually interpret and capture their surroundings or ideas in a painting.

Maria Ines Torres

She holds a degree in Arts from the University of Monterrey with a specialty in Culture as Social Capital. She has dedicated herself to teaching and the educational area in the Art, giving classes and workshops in Visual Arts, Art History and Creativity at the secondary and high school levels. She has various studies in Museography, Curatorship, Art History, Art Anthropology and Painting and Watercolor Workshops. She is part of the It's Doodle Time! project, where she participated as manager and writer of the children's book: It's Doodle Time!
He has collaborated with MARCO since 2017 in the Education department.
