Watercolor Illustration: Flora and Fauna
Aimed at people over 15 years old | Beginner level
Just as the printing press replaced the hand drawing in the beginning, photography was gaining ground to become the main source of image compilation for botanical scientific study, this has resulted in a positive result in terms of ease of registration but at the same time the taste for contemplation or observation of the nature that surrounds us has been lost, the exercise of illustrating by hand a living being that is in front of us allows us to take the time to observe its details without haste, to contemplate its form and to reflect in an immediate moment on the nature of its existence. This exercise is valuable because, as mentioned at the beginning, everything is constantly evolving and one of the ways to perceive it is to constantly observe the world around us, whether we are scientists or not.
