Photography can become much more than a form of expression as it becomes a useful tool due to the variety of its fields of application. For this reason, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey offers a modular program in photography designed with the purpose of offering the necessary knowledge for the complete training of professional photographers and the tools for their development in the areas of commercial and artistic photography.

I WANT INFORMATION

The graduate of the modular diploma in Photography of the Museum of Contemporary Art will be able to:
• Develop a sharper and more selective visual perception to raise the artistic quality of your photographic work.
• Make accurate and aesthetic decisions in the artistic approach, on the use of light in photography.
• Read, analyze and take a photographic portrait, making use of the knowledge and techniques learned.

Eduardo Gonzalez

Photographer with more than 30 years of experience. He began his career in Mexico City. With his camera, Eduardo González has traveled and captured moments of beauty in various parts of Mexican territory, as well as of the people in the different areas. His work has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Brazil, Cuba, the United States and Mexico.

Juan Jose Ceron

Photojournalist for 25 years and a communication specialist by profession. He has participated in multiple photographic coverages throughout the country and abroad and winning various awards. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries. He has been a teacher of photography in a considerable number of educational institutions; at MARCO it has been for several years. He is the founder of Resolana, a cultural space dedicated to the promotion of photography. He was also director of the Photography Department of the newspaper El Norte.

Teresa Rodriguez Sepúlveda

He studied a degree in Plastic Arts with a Photography option at the UV and postgraduate studies in Conservation and Restoration of Photography at the ENCRyM. His images have been part of various group exhibitions. In 2003 he obtained an honorable mention at the Nuevo León Photography Hall. He has obtained production, research and academic support through CONACULTA in Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Veracruz. He has given workshops on Basic Photography and Black and White Laboratory at the Centro de las Artes Photo Library, the Nuevo León House of Culture and at Marcarfoto, as well as workshops on photographic conservation at the Adolfo Prieto School, Monterrey.

Natural light and flash management
Ages: 15 to 64 years old | Aimed at the public with basic knowledge in photography 

Theoretical-practical course in which the student will explore different combinations of lighting, using natural light and flashes to create different environments in the same place regardless of the conditions and in any situation.

She is a doctor in Cultural Studies in the line of Film & Gender Studies from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and Ph.D in Social Communication from the Universiteit Antwerpen. Approached mainly from audiovisual media, installation and performance, her lines of work include film and gender studies, space, nostalgia, disenchantment and emptiness. Her work has been exhibited and received recognition in Monterrey, Puebla, Durango and Mexico City in Mexico; San Marcos, Texas and Washington DC in the United States, Shanghai in China and Leuven in Belgium. In 2020 she collaborates with the World Design Organization and UN Women. In eight years of teaching experience, she has taught classes in disciplines related to audiovisual arts at UANL FAV, Tecnológico de Monterrey and from 2018 to the present at the School of Art and Design of the University of Monterrey, as well as a Masterclass in Postgraduate UDEM. She is currently working on the development of her first feature film piece.
