CURATORS: Taiyana Pimentel and Cuauhtémoc Medina

MARCO presents the exhibition Unfinished Work by the collective Tercerunquinto, which examines two decades of their practice through three discursive lines. These explore the collective’s critical strategies regarding the museum as a container of artistic discourse, the ideological connotations of “low-profile” architectural constructions located in urban peripheries, and works in which the collective transforms spaces and involves the public, turning them into active participants.

The exhibition includes works created between 1998 and 2018, reactivations of pieces originally produced in other cities around the world, as well as sculptures, objects, installations, drawings, photographs, and paintings. Tercerunquinto is composed of Gabriel Cázares and Rolando Flores, and until 2014 also included Julio Castro.
