MARCO presents Perspectives. Tatiana Bilbao Estudio, an exhibition reviewing the most representative projects of the Mexican architect Tatiana Bilbao (b. 1972) at both national and international levels. Her vision seeks to change and strengthen various dialogues between building and environment, materials and processes, as well as functionality and aesthetics, with the goal of creating constructions integrated into the social and natural environment without disrupting the local context.

This exhibition focuses on the relationship of her work with art, philosophy, design, and sociology. Throughout the projects produced between 2004 and 2017, one can observe structures that simultaneously oppose and meet each other, highlighting the collaboration between the worlds of architecture and construction. Her works are holistic, taking into account the historical context and ensuring the continuity of the urban fabric, turning architecture into an organizational system.

Since founding her studio, Tatiana Bilbao has worked on, conceptualized, and built a large number of projects that, in various ways, generate social and spatial experiences. Throughout her architectural work, certain cultural references are activated. A critical philosophy and the forms imposed by a productive field have enriched her vision, earning it a place in contemporary debates while responding to the social needs and ethical implications of this era of crisis.
