As part of the exhibition Constellations and Drifts: Latin American Art from the FEMSA Collection, Remigio Valdés de Hoyos will speak with Mexican artist Diane Wilke about her career, the creative processes that have marked her artistic practice, and some reflections on her work The Kiss of Judas (The One Who Doesn’t Dare) (1984), included in the thematic core Identities of the exhibition.
The talk will address themes related to memory, identity, painting, and printmaking.
It will be an opportunity to explore the emotional, symbolic, and material connections that permeate the work of both artists.

Remigio Valdés de Hoyos (1950 Monterrey)
Born in Monterrey, Remigio Valdés de Hoyos began his artistic career as a self-taught artist at the young age of thirteen. In 1978, he moved to Paris, where he deepened his knowledge of printmaking at the renowned Lacourière-Frélaut workshop.
