CURATORSHIP: ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation Studio
The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey presents DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition. A Journey from Sketch to Screen, the first large-scale exhibition celebrating 20 years of the studio’s most beloved feature films and the talented artists who brought them to life. Created by ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation, the exhibition offers, for the first time, an exploration of the studio’s collaborative and visionary approach to animation, art, technology, and storytelling, bringing together curators and creatives from Melbourne with the animators, artists, and producers of this major international studio.
The exhibition features never-before-seen materials and presents both the art and the science involved in creating animated films. With immersive and interactive digital experiences and environments, including specially recorded interviews with DreamWorks artists, it is ideal for families, fans, students, art lovers, and creatives alike. Visitors can explore and engage with the studio’s creative approach to animation and see how characters and stories transform from sketches to the screen.
