The Contemporary Art Museum of Monterrey (MARCO) presents Bill Viola: Suspended Time, the most extensive exhibition in Mexico devoted to one of the great pioneers of video art.

With a career spanning nearly five decades, the artist explores existential questions about the human condition from a perspective informed by philosophy and spirituality.

Bill Viola: Suspended Time centers on the concept of temporality in the human condition, expressed through the body and its gestures. The selected works evoke a sacred or suspended time, in which the human body becomes a sign revealing the fleeting nature of existence and the desire to prolong the impermanent, offering the public a reflective experience on dissolution, purification, and rebirth.

The exhibition was produced by the Ex Teresa Arte Actual Museum and is the result of collaboration among companies and institutions such as Altex, Panasonic, Medusa Lab, Fundación Telefónica Movistar, INBA, and the Federal Ministry of Culture. It is funded by the EFIARTES program of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
