MARCO: A WORK OF ART
MARCO is one of Latin America 's leading cultural centers, which targets its efforts at promoting international contemporary art, with a particular bent towards Latin American visual arts.

MARCO opens its doors June 28, 1991 , with the grand exhibition Mito y Magia en América: Los Ochenta . It has since showcased the works of the most renowned contemporary artists, become a stage for young artistic talent, and seeks to assemble one of the world's preeminent permanent contemporary art collections.

MARCO is a place that accommodates the full range of artistic expression, as well as a meeting point for contemporary art trends; thus, in addition to the plastic arts, literature, music, film, video, and dance have also found a place in this Museum. It is a space for creating, learning, reflecting; for disseminating art. It is a museum to enjoy, to experiment, to roam.

ARCHITECTURE
