The sculptor Javier Marín (Uruapan, 1962) presented an anthological show of terracotta sculptures that covered 10 years of his professional career. In all his pieces, the naked human body is the theme, be it feminine or masculine. His style has strong ties to the manieristic slope of Michael Angelo, by way of Rodin and brought to the present, although somewhat subverted by the artist of the new three-dimension figuration. MARCO presented 82 pieces that are representative of Marín’s artistic argument.

TIMEFRAME: September to December, 1994.
CURATOR: Dr. Teresa del Conde
MUSEOGRAPHER: Agustín Arteaga
