This exhibition was organized for the purpose of presenting a complete panorama of the work of Dulce María Nuñez. It aims to show the artistic development, over time, of one of Mexico´s most prominent contemporary artists. The exhibition brings out the beginnings and the consequences of her complex symbolism and iconography that use elements taken from Mexican history as well as everyday life.

The several facets of Dulce María Nuñez´s work were explored, including her interest in engraving. The path taken by the artist from the semi-abstractionism of her early years trough the more rigorous figuration in the mid eighties, to a reversion to certain abstract elements in her latest work.
