The Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey presents DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition the first ever large-scale, behind the scenes exhibition celebrating over 20 years of DreamWorks Animation´s much-loved feature films and the talented artists who created them. This unique exposition offers a first time exploration of the studio´s collaborative and visionary approach to animation, art, technology and storytelling and for the first time brings together Melbourne-based curators and creatives, with the animators, artists and producers of a major international studio.

The Exhibition comprises never-seen-before material and features both the art and science involved in creating the animation films. With newly commissioned immersive and interactive digital experiences, displays and environments, including specially recorded interviews with DreamWorks Animation artists, this Exhibition explores the creative processes of this unique animation studio. Perfect for families and fans, students, art lovers and creatives alike, visitors can explore and engage with the studio’s creative approach to the art of animation and see how characters and narratives transform from sketch to screen.

DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition, Journey from Sketch to Screen will remain open to the public from April 8to August 6 of 2017. It was presented at ArtScience Museum, Singapore; Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington, New Zealand and Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul, South Korea and the National Taiwan Science and Education Centre, Taipei, Taiwan.
