The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey presents the first major exhibition in Latin American of one of the leading figures in the world of contemporary art: Annette Messager (Berck-sur-Mer, France, 1943).

The exhibition consists of a selection of the most representative works from her career including installations that have become milestones in the history of art: Articulés—Désarticulés (2001-2002), acclaimed at Documenta XI (Germany, 2002) and Casino (2005), for which she received the Golden Lion award at the 51st Venice Biennale (2005).

Through her work, Annette Message delicately and carefully explores the luminous and somber aspects of our desires, tenderness and transgression, fear and serenity. She plays with everyday objects to show that it is possible to live pleasurably as human beings with all of our experiences.
